. . . wear a baseball cap? I'm not talking about donning the one I wear to the gym to tame my tangled mane. This trend is popping up everywhere, though I'm decidedly against the (p)leather, black cap. Here are some of my favorites . . .

Perhaps it's the ballerina coming out in me, but I love tulle skirts. And, tulle + chambray seems like the perfect combo, don't you think? Or, well any blouse really.

Have you seen the blog "What Ali Wore"? A cafe owner in Berlin started taking photos of him on his walk to  his tailoring job everyday,  and it's since led to the blog. The man has quite the style, and I adore his poses.

Must Haves: Pixie Pant

Do you have that one thing in your closet that you just can't seem to part with? And no matter the mood or occasion, you can always incorporate into your outfit. Well, mine is leggings. I freaking love 'em, and I fear the day when they go out of style. I usually opt for the $12.99 brand at Target, but they usually end in tears and a ill fit after a few months.

Smock Dresses

Smock: A loose garment worn over one's clothes to protect them. 

I am loving the ASOS collection of smock dresses. Don't they look so comfortable and sweet? The perfect dress to pair with riding boots or wedge booties. Some of my favorites . . .

 . . . wear shiny leggings? I think some brands call them "wet leggings." Still trying to figure out how I feel about that name. I'm coming around to the look, and I think it can add some rad dimension to your outfit. As long as you don't over do it and stick to basics up top. Here are a few looks I'd dare to wear . . .

 . . . wear boots with a maxi skirt? I've seen this look so many times, and I can't decide if I like it or if it's too Dr. Quinn. I like the ankle boot with the long sheer maxi, and unless you have a jaw dropping slit, I'm not sure knee high boots work the best. But, what do you think?

Some mornings, I’m fairly ambitious. I wave-curl my hair, perfectly pair jewelry to my look, and meticulously spread every lash with mascara (well, that’s exaggerating). Then other days, I’m lucky if I find matching socks. Philip likes to poke fun at how I wake up to a different routine every morning. Just keep things spicy around here!

 . . . wear a fur vest? I was on the hunt for one for weeks, and then lo and behold, I spotted it at a Goodwill pop up shop in downtown D.C. Boy hates it, and refers to me as an Alaskan fur trader whenever I wear it in public. It is a bold look, don't you think? Here are some of the looks I like . . .

Dress Candy

Isn't this dress GORgeous? I just can't stop staring at it. Oh to not have to rub my pennies together for such a beauty as this.

 . . .wear leopard print? As a product of the late 80s and early 90s, my natural instinct towards animal print is disdain. Those decades taught me that such prints can only be paired with teased bangs, solo lip liner and slinky pleather pants, but tell me, do you think animal print, particularly leopard, can be classy?

Well, more and more, I think it can. The fashionista extraordinaire and my good friend, Ashley, has taught me just that. She dons breezy leopard print blouses buttoned all the way up with black cigarette pants, and somehow, comes out looking so chic. I apprehensively put on leopard print yesterday, but I think the feline and I braved the world together just fine. Here are some of my favorite looks . . .

New Years Eve

After much contemplation, boy and I decided to host a New Years Party at our tiny apartment this year. And considering, we dragged our feet on getting the invites out, it will be an intimate gathering of friends, as I like to say. Hosting a New Years party is a lot of pressure. Years from now, people will ask our party goers, "what did you do for New Years in 2012?" Gosh, I hope it's a kicka$$ response that we can provide.

Doesn't everyone have grandiose ideas of New Years with dancing, sparkly decor, big bands, and kissing gentleman? I don't think those parties occurred since the days of Bing, Fred, and  Holiday Inn.

Well, more on the food and decor later, but let's talk dress since I indicated "sparkly attire" on the invite. I know the gents are excited. I have my eye on a few little numbers at ASOS, and I'd love your thoughts.

Anthro Love

To make the following happen, I need a fifty percent salary increase and numerous holiday parties to attend in order to justify such purchases. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Anthropologie, you swoon me. The November catalog is dreamy to say the least. Wouldn't you agree?

Out of Twig

I stumbled (via the interwebs) upon the up and coming shop, Out of Twig,  in Lynchburg, VA the other day, and I am head over heals for their vintage finds and prices. I so admire new business owners and covet their courage to take on such a risky venture of having a storefront; the ladies (and gents?) seemed to do it right with both store and online. As a religious online shopper, I know I should peruse more local shops, but a few clicks and a Paypal swipe is always so tempting. How about you? Would you rather shop online or in the actual store?

Guys in Suits

Usually, I swoon over Philip when he's wearing a simple white tee or a big, cozy sweater with jeans and his laced-up boots, but a friend passed this Tumblr along to me today. Oh my heavens. These men in suits are too much to handle; you know what I'm saying ladies. Now, I'm anxiously awaiting boy's threads on the big day.
