The Transatlantic Accent

Have you heard of the transatlantic or Mid-Atlantic accent? I first discovered it from Alice Walker and her '21 accents video', which led me here. A blending of American and British accents, this vernacular was not a regional accent but taught to actors and actresses. I just think it's so dreamy and old Hollywood, don't you?
